چکیده

Abstract The Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA) mission is a space-borne observatory designed to detect and characterize gravitational wave sources inaccessible ground-based detectors. relies on laser interferometry measure changes in space-time. In this context, non-avoidable noise within the LISA system, including tilt-to-length (TTL) coupling, reduce detector’s resolution complicate achieving mission’s goals unless appropriate mitigation strategies are implemented. This paper applies time-delay infinity (TDI- ∞ ) for TTL estimation assesses its suitability from perspective of system identification calibration first time. recently published TDI- concept indicates different frequency response measurement band compared standard methodology TDI second-generation. Our main contribution demonstrating advantages algorithm interferometer constellations. Specifically, we show that improves performance due behavior while requiring less computation reduction computational effort afforded by could accelerate availability calibrated data astrophysical analysis if required science community. improvement underscores concept’s potential enhance sensitivity further.

Time-delay interferometry for LISA

LISA ~Laser Interferometer Space Antenna! is a mission to detect and study low-frequency cosmic gravitational radiation through its influence on the phases or frequencies of laser beams exchanged between three remote spacecraft. We previously showed how, with lasers of identical frequencies on stationary spacecraft, the measurement of twelve time series of Doppler shifts could be combined to ca...

Synthetic Lisa: Simulating Time Delay Interferometry in a Model Lisa

Synthetic LISA, developed at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, is a C++/Python package to simulate the LISA science process at the level of scientific and technical requirements. It generates synthetic time series of the LISA fundamental noises, as filtered through all the Time-Delay-Interferometric (TDI) observables; it provides a streamlined module to compute the TDI responses to gravitational w...

Time Delay Interferometry and LISA Optimal Sensitivity

The sensitivity of LISA depends on the suppression of several noise sources; dominant one is laser frequency noise. It has been shown that the six Doppler data streams obtained from three space-crafts can be appropriately time delayed and optimally combined to cancel this laser frequency noise. We show that the optimal data combinations when operated in a network mode improves the sensitivity o...

Time Delay Interferometry for LISA with one arm dysfunctional

In order to attain the requisite sensitivity for LISA a joint space mission of the ESA and NASAthe laser frequency noise must be suppressed below the secondary noises such as the optical path noise, acceleration noise etc. By combining six appropriately time-delayed data streams containing fractional Doppler shifts a technique called time delay interferometry (TDI) the laser frequency noise may...

Time delay estimation and adaptive frame length iterations for noise robust pitch extraction

We describe a pitch tracking method based on a time delay estimation technique. Given two frames of voiced speech and it’s time delay, we will run a linear regression on the unwrapped phase of the quotient of the spectrum of both frames. A weighted linear regression will allow us to avoid the effect of phases corrupted by spectral leakage and noise. Iterations adapting the frame length will all...
